The 2008 KCI Investment Cruise

Sail With Us on the Crystal Serenity to These Colorful Ports

MONDAY, DECEMBER 1
EMBARK IN MIAMI, FLORIDA

Whether you’re into salsa, sports, or sunshine Miami sizzles all year long. You may want to arrive a couple days before our departure to fully experience world-famous South Beach or enjoy a picturesque excursion to the Florida Keys.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 2 • SEMINARS-AT-SEA

As we begin our in-depth at-sea seminar sessions, enjoy the many and varied amenities of the Crystal Serenity. Learning has never been so much fun, blending an educational experience with countless shipboard activities, in a relaxed but elegant atmosphere.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 3
GRAND TURK, TURKS & CAICOS

This island has some of the best diving and snorkeling anywhere, courtesy of one of the world’s largest network of coral reefs, easily accessible off the island’s shores. One reef, aptly called the Wall, is particularly spectacular; it drops 7,000 feet straight down! Between the shore and the reef, the water is only waist deep, providing a perfect place for beginning snorkelers to get their feet wet.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 4 • SEMINARS-AT-SEA

Today we’ll sail southeast through the Atlantic, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the ship’s luxurious amenities and relax in-between conference events.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 5
ROAD TOWN, TORTOLA, BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS

You’ll begin the day by sailing into the famous horseshoe-shaped harbor of Road Town, capital of the British Virgin Islands, where most activities begin and end on the island of Tortola. This island is a sailor’s paradise, its wealth of inlets and harbors have been transformed into luxurious moorings for yachtsmen of the Caribbean. Legend has it that after Christopher Columbus discovered the other Caribbean islands, he returned to Tortola to live.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6
GUSTAVIA, ST. BARTS, FRENCH WEST INDIES

Tiny St. Barts is a pastel-colored slice of serene Normandy, Brittany, and the Cote d’Azur transplanted to the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. In the capital town of Gustavia you will find an intriguing mix of both French and Swedish architecture reflecting the island’s varied history. Sprinkled amongst the historic buildings of the town is fabulous duty-free shopping at today’s finest luxury purveyors such as Cartier, Hermès, and Gucci.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 7 • SEMINARS-AT-SEA

KCI’s editors will share with you their latest research and strategies for a successful portfolio. These relaxed, yet powerful, sessions will provide you plenty of ammo with which to attack the markets.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 8
ORANJESTAD, ARUBA, DUTCH WEST INDIES

The town was built around Fort Zoutman shortly after it was constructed in 1776 and Oranjestad has been the capital of Aruba ever since. As you disembark you’ll be greeted by the dockside bazaar where Aruban handicrafts abound and bargaining is expected. The charming port city is best explored on foot. Its palm-lined central thoroughfare runs between old and new pastel-painted buildings of typical Dutch style. If it’s culture you’re looking for, Oranjestad has a handful of distinctive museums and houses of worship to visit, many of which offer free admission.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 9 • SEMINARS-AT-SEA

As our education continues, we’ll sail west through the stunning blue waters of the Caribbean Sea towards the eighth wonder of the world—the Panama Canal.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 10
CRUISE THE PANAMA CANAL

An engineering marvel, the canal has reduced the continental divide and drastically eased global commerce. With three sets of locks, the 51-mile trek is an awe-inspiring testament to human ingenuity. Constructed more than 90 years ago, the conduit altered the geography of the Americas forever. Dams stopped rivers in their tracks. Valleys became lakes, and mountains islands. Sailing through the most lush of tropical landscapes, this day aboard the Serenity promises stunning vistas and peaceful escape.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 11 • SEMINARS-AT-SEA

We’ll sail out of the Gulf of Panama into the Pacific Ocean on our way to Caldera. The editors will wrap up their presentation series, leaving you with the most actionable advice so you return home refreshed and ready to profit.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 12
DISEMBARK IN CALDERA, COSTA RICA

Situated in an unspoiled region of the coast, with close proximity to many tourist attractions and nature reserves, Caldera is home to a dazzling array of flora and fauna, and is great if you want to have an incredible eco-adventure or just lie back and take in the stunning surroundings. This small port town is known for its amazing cliffs, with breathtaking views of Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast.
